Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 14, 2025

Inference XYZ, Inc. ("Inference", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website at inference.xyz (the "Website"), use our decentralized inference cloud platform (the "Platform" or "Service"), or interact with our services, including blog posts and any related applications or APIs.

Our Service integrates third-party providers such as Framer (for website hosting), RunPod (for compute instances), and Helio (for cryptocurrency payments). Your use of these integrated services is also subject to their respective privacy policies, which we encourage you to review:

  • Framer Privacy Policy: Available at https://www.framer.com/legal/privacy-policy

  • RunPod Privacy Policy: Available at https://www.runpod.io/legal/privacy-policy

  • Helio Privacy Policy: Available at https://docs.hel.io/docs/privacy-policy

By accessing or using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We may update this Policy from time to time and will notify you of material changes by posting the revised Policy on the Website or through other communications. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked to you ("Personal Information"). The types of information we collect include:

a. Information You Provide Directly

  • Account and Profile Information: When you create an account, we collect details such as your username, email address, and any other information you provide during registration or profile setup.

  • Payment and Transaction Information: For cryptocurrency payments via Helio, we may collect wallet addresses, transaction details, and related data. Helio may also collect additional information like name, email, or KYC (Know Your Customer) details (e.g., identification documents) for high-value transactions or compliance purposes.

  • User Content: Templates, queries, or other content you upload or submit for inference tasks, which may include code, data sets, or models. If your User Content contains Personal Information (e.g., in datasets), you are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

  • Communications: Information from emails, support requests, or feedback you send us, including contact details and content.

  • KYC/Verification Data: In some cases, through Helio's third-party providers (e.g., Sumsub), we may collect verification data to comply with anti-money laundering laws.

b. Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage and Device Information: Data about your interactions with the Service, such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, access times, pages viewed, and referral sources. This includes analytics from our Website built with Framer, which may use cookies, pixels, or similar technologies to track visitor behavior.

  • Log and Performance Data: Server logs, error reports, and performance metrics from RunPod instances, including compute usage, session duration, and inference query details.

  • Blockchain Data: Cryptocurrency transaction details (e.g., wallet addresses, amounts) processed via Helio are recorded on public blockchains. While pseudonymized (e.g., wallet addresses are not directly tied to your identity by us), they are inherently public and immutable.

c. Information from Third Parties

  • Integrated Services: Data from Framer (e.g., Website analytics), RunPod (e.g., instance usage logs), and Helio (e.g., payment confirmations, Twitter-linked data if you authenticate via Twitter).

  • Other Sources: Aggregate or de-identified data from analytics providers or partners.

We do not collect sensitive Personal Information (e.g., racial origin, health data) unless you voluntarily provide it in User Content, in which case you must obtain necessary consents.

2. How We Collect Information

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

To access certain features, you must create an account ("Account"). You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as needed. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Account credentials and for all activities that occur under your Account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your Account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your Account at any time for any reason, including violations of these Terms.

  • Directly from You: Through account creation, payments, uploads, or communications.

  • Automatically: Via cookies, web beacons, and tracking technologies on our Website (via Framer) and Platform. Framer may collect visitor data for analytics and site improvement.

  • From Third Parties: When you interact with integrated services like RunPod (e.g., during instance deployment) or Helio (e.g., during crypto transactions). Helio collects data during account linking (e.g., Twitter) or KYC processes.

  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: We and our partners (e.g., Framer) use cookies for functionality, analytics, and personalization. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, but disabling them may limit Service features.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • Provide and Maintain the Service: To process queries, deploy RunPod instances, handle payments via Helio, and deliver inference results.

  • Improve and Personalize: Analyze usage to enhance features, troubleshoot issues, and customize experiences.

  • Communications: Send service updates, security alerts, newsletters, or marketing (with opt-out options). Helio may use email data to track engagement.

  • Compliance and Security: Comply with laws (e.g., anti-money laundering via Helio's KYC), prevent fraud, enforce terms, and protect against unauthorized access.

  • Analytics and Research: Aggregate data for internal research, such as improving decentralized inference efficiency.

  • Advertising: Provide relevant ads, including via Helio for similar services.

  • Business Operations: For billing, auditing, and internal operations.

We process information based on your consent, contractual necessity, legitimate interests, or legal obligations.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your Personal Information. We may share it as follows:

  • Service Providers: With vendors like Framer (for Website hosting and analytics), RunPod (for compute resources), Helio (for payments, including their subcontractors like Sumsub for KYC), and others for hosting, fraud prevention, identity verification, and customer support.

  • Legal and Compliance: To respond to legal requests, enforce rights, or comply with regulations (e.g., law enforcement or anti-money laundering requirements via Helio).

  • Business Transfers: In connection with mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales.

  • Affiliates and Partners: For joint services or analytics, in aggregate form.

  • Public Blockchain: Transaction data via Helio is shared on public blockchains, where it may be visible to anyone.

  • With Your Consent: For other purposes you approve.

Helio shares data with their vendors for operations and may disclose it to protect safety or comply with laws.

5. Data Security and Retention

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption for transmissions and access controls. However, no system is completely secure, especially public blockchains where data is immutable and visible.

RunPod emphasizes data privacy in multi-tenant environments. Helio uses safeguards but notes risks in crypto transactions.

We retain information as long as needed for the purposes described, or as required by law (e.g., Helio retains data for compliance). Upon request or when no longer necessary, we will delete or anonymize it, subject to legal obligations.

6. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights under laws like GDPR (for EEA/UK residents), CCPA (for California residents), or similar:

  • Access, Correction, Deletion: Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your Personal Information.

  • Opt-Out: From marketing emails (via unsubscribe links) or sale/sharing of data (if applicable). Helio allows opt-out from communications.

  • Do Not Track: We do not respond to browser DNT signals but honor opt-outs where required.

  • Cookies: Manage via browser settings.

  • Account Closure: Deleting your account may remove data, but blockchain records persist.

  • To exercise rights, contact us at privacy@inference.xyz. We may verify your identity. Helio provides rights for EEA/UK users under GDPR and California residents.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn of such collection, we will delete it.

8. International Data Transfers

Our operations are based in the United States, with data processed globally (e.g., Helio in the UK). We ensure transfers comply with laws, using mechanisms like Standard Contractual Clauses for GDPR. By using the Service, you consent to transfers.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. Changes will be posted here with the updated effective date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice.
